Siena and San Gimignano

Siena and San Gimignano

Explore the heart of beautiful Tuscany! Drive from Florence into the hills of Tuscany where you will pass along one of the country's most beautiful and famous routes.

In Siena, cradle of the Italian gothic style, we will focus our attention on the spectacular Duomo and Baptistery which symbolize the religious nature of the city.
You will also see the Campo, a shell shaped 12th century piazza crowned by the Palazzo Pubblico, where the famous Palio takes place.

On the way to San Gimignano you might consider stopping at the 13 th century walled village of Monteriggioni for lunch.
Upon arriving to the “Manhattan of the Renaissance”, San Gimignano, you will have time to stroll the tiny alleys and explore the 13 towers that symbolize the prosperity of the village and the wealth of its merchants. While here, you may want to taste some of their local white wine, “Vernaccia” before heading back to Florence.
